Lobster Thermidor

  • 3 large lobsters
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ thinly sliced onion
  • ½ sliced lemon
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ½ cup white wine
  • 1 bay leaf.


  1. 1/3 cup butter
  2. ½ teaspoon salt
  3. ½ cup flour
  4. 1 ½ cup milk
  5. ¼ teaspoon paprika
  6. ½ cup white grated cheddar cheese.

The first thing is to clean very well the lobsters and must be removed as sponge that is located below their eyes, it is necessary to remove the stomach and intestines.

Boil in a large pot at least 4 liters of water, with onion, lemon, salt, pepper and bay leaf, when it is boiling the lobsters are placed and allowed to cook for ten minutes.

After the minutes removed from the water and let cool, then makes a cut to remove the tail meat and then bathe it with white wine.

Put melt butter over low heat and add the flour, salt and paprika or chili powder and milk slowly stirring to dissolve any lumps. Sprinkle cheese and bake 10 minutes until melted and brown the cheese.
