Bechamel sauce recipe


bechamel sauce

  • 15g butter;
  • 15g flour;
  • 25cl milk;
  • salt;
  • pepper;
  • nutmeg.


  1. Melt the butter in a large saucepan. Heat the milk in a saucepan.
  2. Pour at once all the flour into the melted butter and whisk briskly.
  3. Cook over low heat for 2 minutes, stirring constantly, until the mixture is smooth.
  4. Remove pan from heat and gradually add the milk, whisking gently.
  5. Return to heat for 12 minutes, stirring regularly. Warning: it should not be boiling.
  6. Add salt, pepper and nutmeg to your liking.
